My brother is my favorite toy!

I am taking a break from traditional scrapbooking. I won't be posting traditional scrapbooking layouts for a week or two. I will be posting my digital scrapbooking layouts. I added more pages to my second child's scrapbook. I went from 15 layouts(30sheets) to 30 layouts. I have all my photos organized and half of my journaling planned. I am hoping that by the end of January I will finish his first scrapbook.

What do you think of my digital layouts?

Happy Birthday 2011

My little boy turns 3!

Cake!!!!!

Kind of lost on this one. Overall the layout is done just not sure where to go from here.

Cleaning Out Old Posts

Come January I will be getting rid of a lot of old posts that I don't believe anyone really cares about. Mostly the pages from my scrapbook Life In Pictures that I did for the 25 days of Christmas. So if there is a post you would like to see longer. Post something on it like: this layout is fun please keep it. Or e-mail me at treasuresbydulce@yahoo.com
I would love to get some opinion and feed back about my layouts. Is there something you would like to see? Something you hate? Love? Let me know! I feel like I am talking to myself most of the time.

The Character Bus

This layout was made October 2010. Again its very simple very basic. I love the simple borders (the orange and blue) to brighten the layout. Then rest is all up to the mouse. This layout is from a birthday celebration July 2004.

This layout was made October 2010. Its a basic design. Simple and easy.
One of those that you can't go wrong with.

Decade old Layouts

I couldn't give you an actual date of when these layouts where made. They were probably made in 2002.
It's one of those remember when scenarios. So you remember when scrapbooking was done on white pages and we added color or pattern paper for a 'burst' of color. We chose our pictures added some color; a little journaling (or in my case the journaling was the background :) )
Creative Memories used to have paper packs called photo mounting paper. It had all sorts of what they called geometric shapes. We used it to make borders like the blue and yellow one on this page. Again; look at how much I used to journal.
I love this layout. I used to be such an amazing journalist. I am still good about writing but not like I did before. There is not an inch of unused space! The little bits of color make it look classy. This is probably my favorite layout from my first scrapbook.

Work in Progress - Make A Wish

the layout is taking shape
Everything has been cut and the layout is waiting to be put together. Now I have to think what embellishments I am going to use to make this a great page.

Work in Progress

Time for another start to finish how to project.
I am scrap lifting this layout.
Here is the link if you want to take a look
I am doing Maverick's 3rd birthday. So I went looking at the Creative Memories Project Center. I find one I like and now I have to make it into a 2 page spread.

So I have the layout idea set. Now I am going to choose my papers and my photos.

Mickey Mouse greeting card

This is a hand cut Mickey Mouse. To get the template click here.  This is just my first try. I did not follow instructions very well. It was supposed to be a tag but I though a greeting card would be soooo cute.

A Partridge in a Pear Trea

I have been slacking. I was done with this layout on Tuesday and haven't posted. I haven't done much scrapbooking this last week. I got the idea for this from the Creative Memories website; the project center. I am also thinking of trying my hand at some card making. I love this Christmas song; although once it gets to day six it looses its appeal. goose a laying? servants? not for me it sounds silly to say goose a laying.. wouldn't it have been nice to say white swans or something? I know you are supposed to rhyme and make it sound nice but my favorite part is the first five days of the song.
On the fifth day of Christmas
My true love gave to me
Five golden rings
Four calling birds
Three french hens
two turtle doves and
a partridge in a pear tree!

Come and See... The Christmas Trees

This is almost the same layout as Christmas Time. I just think this looks better with the pattern paper background. I am still keeping both layouts on my scrapbook of course. How are you doing with your layouts?

Birthday Layout

I sent this in as my application for the Creative Memories design team. I didn't make it to round one unfortunately. Would love some feed back; so I can create even better layouts. This one has Maverick (my son) first birthday cake

Christmas Time

This is the finished layout. It didn't turn our like I was thinking so I am going to do it again. The beige pattern paper doesn't show up as much as I would have liked on the pictures. How do you think it turned out?
I am crazy busy this week coming up so I probably won't post again for a week or two. I would like to post some old layouts and do a 25 days of layouts for Christmas but we will see how it goes. happy holidays everyone

How Time Flows

How many albums have you finished? How many are you working on right now? I just finished a scrapbook filled with pictures taken by my 3year old son. He turned 4 November 14th. It feels fantastic to finish an album. I am currently working on 2. One for my 4 year old and one for my 1 year old. In scrapbooking; time flows differently. I am working on my first child's 3rd scrapbook. In real time he is 4; in scrapbooking time he is one and a half. I am also working on my second child's 1st scrapbook. We are celebrating his first Christmas; he is 3 months old in the scrapbook. In real life he is 14 months old.
Confused yet?
I scrapbook in chronological order. I have 2 scrapbooks so that both my children have something. I don't want to "fall behind" and have my older son have many finished scrapbooks and my youngest not have any. So I bounce back and forth between their two scrapbooks. I am lucky that I am only 3 years "behind" I try to scrapbook every week for a few hours. I have thousands of pictures I would love to do but I am realistic and I am working on what is most important. Now that I have finished one album I am going to start on another one and still have 3 that I am working on at the same time. I cheat though. The 3rd album I am going to start I am using the pre-desgined pages. The album has been purchased and pictures printed I just haven't started it yet. It is of last summer when I went on vacation.
The point is not to worry about how many pictures you have or how far behind you are. The point is that you are doing it. It doesn't matter if you scrapbook every day or if you do it once a month or a few times a year. The point is that you are creating a treasure. My son is  4 years old and he already loves his scrapbooks.
Scrapbooking is just a way of telling your story. Time flows differently in your scrapbooks. Its your choice how. You can have one album cover 30 years or one album cover a week. Its your choice!
