Start to Finish Layout

Its time again for me to show you how to do a layout from start to finish.
First choose your size:
I am doing a 12 x12 page and I normally do 3 - 4 pictures per page
choose your photos.
then choose your paper/ or color theme

I chose the Rugged Palette from Creative Memories
I like to get it all in front of me and be able to choose. I had some photos that I really wanted to scrap but didn't fit my layouts. So I am making a page and thinking of titling it Random Moments.

What is a Power palette?
it is a BIG set that has everything you need to make many many layouts! Everything Matches and it really has a little of everything. It costs $60.50 (quite the commitment so be sure you love it before you buy the whole thing) It has 32 12x12 sheets 96 frames/ journaling spots. 3 sheets of title stickers ( they are about 5 x12 each) and 2 of alphabets (also 5 x12) and yes the colors and paterns match the stickers to the papers. 4 rolls of ribbons and 24paper tags and 24 frames. Pictured are the tags. It is amazing; you can make a whole scrapbook with one palette and you will be sure that the whole thing matches AND its all different!!!!!!!
Come back tomorrow night and I will have MORE FUN
Here is what I have planned for the next couple days:
2 greeting cards
and AT Least TWO layouts
A BIG Surprise

Mickey and Minnie Mouse

This are just variations of a greeting card. You can write whatever you want on the inside and it can be for almost any occasion. This was my idea of what to write on the inside:
Believe in the imposible because once you believe then anything is possible.
I came up with that one all by myself.
This one is a quote though. It said by annonimous
"Follow your dreams they know the way."
Mickey Mouse card is 4 x 4inches

with Minnie you could add a flower sticker to her hat

another way to do the eyes. which one is your favorite?

3 Steps to Going Digital

I think the best way to learn to scrapbook is to follow these 3 steps. Start out slow so you don't get overwhelmed and build from there at whatever pace you are able to.
This is with Creative Memories Story Book Creator. There are many other companies that have their own program.
Step 1: Predesgined pages. All you need to do is add in your pictures and journaling. The pages I am posting of my digital album are all predesigned pages. They are fast a beautiful. You can buy them here.  I do make changes to the pages. My photos don't always work with their predesigned pages so I make changes.
Step 2: Click and Fill. These are predesigned pages but without the actual paper. So you are getting templates and then you add your own papers and embellishments.
Step 3: Start from Scratch. You start with a white screen and add paper and embellishments to get the page you want.
I have done all these steps and have printed 30 digital pages. I am working on many more. Good luck on your own journey

Learning Digital Scrapbooking

Want to try digital scrapbooking but not sure where to start?

Let me break it down for you.
First of all if you need a place to organize your pictures you need Memory Manager. Click here to see it. It lets you organize all your digital pictures and you can do lots of editing to them also. It organizes your pictures by dates until you go in there and put them all into their own folders, and the same photo can go into different folders! For example I have two children and they each get their own scrapbook so a picture of the two of them can go into each of their folders.

Then you need Storybook Creator. I have 3.0 right now and need to upgrade to 4.0. You can try this program free for 30 days here. This software allows you to do anything you can do on paper. All the tools are on the computer already and any 'paper' you buy is yours forever.

Need any ideas or inspiration or just want some help figuring out the program? Then go here to check out the Pixies. You can buy a subscription or they have lots of help for non-subscribers.  For ideas you can also go to the Creative Memories digital project center. Click here. You can find pixels to pages and creative memories on facebook. There are always people willing to help you out on those pages. Or just leave a message on this post and I would love to answer any questions you have.

The Wonderful World of You!

See I am a journaler. I have a lot to say about my children. Other than that I am rather quiet.

Innocent Until Proven Guilty

Project 366

Yeah its supposed to be 365 but this year is leap year! What a time to start! Click here to find out more. It is a project that asks you to take a picture every day not just when you remember your camera or special events. It is meant to show your daily life. Haven't decided if I will scrap these pictures by the week or by the month. Its a choice of 52 pages or 12. If I do weekly it will be a completed scrapbook by the end of the year! YAY! Its also a lot of work. Weekly will allow me to tell the story behind the picture and will be easier to decorate! We will see how it goes. Need help getting started or just want more information? You can any questions here and I will be happy to help. Or just click the link above. Come on, take the challenge and join me in this amazing project!
